Northern Cyprus enjoys a warm climate all year round and even in winter averages six hours sunshine a day. Summer temperatures can be as high as 40 degrees Celsius but on the resort the afternoon peaks are lessened by the refreshing onshore breeze making it very pleasant.

Less crowded than many Mediterranean holiday destinations there is less pollution making the resort a natural destination for the sun worshipper.

In the Winter months of November through February, although the days are still warm, it is advisable to wear a cardigan in the evening.

Rainfall is scarce on the island and falls mainly in the mountains in January and February. The sun is normally not far away however and the rain that does fall transforms the countryside and produces astonshingly colourful spring flowers.
